Clear Out for 2023!
We, as home stagers and interior decorators, are often asked to provide consultations as part of our services. During the process, we often recommend removing or moving pieces to make rooms feel more spacious. Here are a few pro tips: *Don’t break your back. Decorating and home staging companies often partner with movers who can help with small moves within a home. Often for a few hundred dollars, a moving company can move that unused exercise bike into a storage pod or put Grandma’s heirloom hutch into the garage. *Make it a feel-good moment. A good decorating or home staging company will have a list of organizations that accept furniture donations. Places such as Household Goods in Acton, The Wish Project in Lowell, and ReStore: Habitat for Humanity, in Billerica all accept gently used furniture items. *When it doubt, throw it out. Sadly, some of your items may not be accepted for donations. Over the past decade, many junk removal companies have arrived on the scene to make the process easy for disposing of your unwanted items.
Red Door Design + Staging made a year-end donation to ReStore of staging items no longer needed.
